A lovely vacation

It was a bitter sweet return to Arizona life for us. Bitter because it is hard to be away from family, and to have something that we had looked forward to for so long gone in the blink of an eye. Sweet because it was a great vacation, and we have a lot going on here to get back to. Here is a breakdown of our trip, for history sake.
We left on a Thursday and traveled straight, with only a stop for dinner and two stops for gas, to Moab. We arrived late to Grandma Shirleys house, but she was very welcoming. We slept good, and the next morning enjoyed some time with her and her brother Bob. Great people, and it was so nice to have a stopping point. Friday we left Shirleys and headed to Price. After Clint had a quick visit with his grandpa Rex while the kids and I showered and changed, we headed to Salt Lake for my cousin Marcies wedding reception. It was great to see the family, Marcie looked beautiful, the food and the company was great. Friday night we were at Beckis. Saturday we visited the Cheney family (friends from BYU), and then Clint golfed with his brother and friend while the kids and I went to Salt Lake for a picnic with the Chases. Again a handy way to get back in touch with a bunch of family. The kids had a great time and the adults had an even better time. Saturday night we stayed at Clints brothers house in Eagle mountain. He and Erin were great hosts. While we were there Dewayne, Vickie, Dewaynes daughter Camille, and Dewaynes grandson Dillion stopped by after a trip to Lake Powell. We enjoyed visiting with them. Sunday we drove to Spanish Fork, went to sacrament meeting with mom and the Paces, left the boys and took off for Boston. I think that I covered the early part of the trip in the earlier blog. The last half was fun too. We enjoyed our time with Jeff. Little italy was great. I am still craving the Pizza that Jeff ordered. Mmmmm. Jeff and Clint had a good time at the Blue Man group, and we enjoyed our quick road tour of Rhode Island after we dropped Jeff and Liza at the airport. I left for Salt lake the next day. Ruby was so good on the airplane rides. I was very proud of her. I was so happy to see the boys again. The Paces did a great job of taking care of them, I am eternally grateful. The week was packed with fun activities. A trip to Park City for school shopping, a birthday barbque for dads birthday, Jills arrival, a day at 7 peaks, time with grandma, BYU clothes shopping to prepare for the upcoming football season, ice blocking, snow cones, topped off with a trip to scofeild. I loved every minute, even (in reflection) dealing with Mason. Sunday was a tearfull goodbye, I think I must have looked very foolish weeping as I left Beckis church. In order to avoid another tearful farewell, we had to quickly pack up the car and head out from Beckis house, before they returned home from church. It was a close call. Grandpa Jim was kind enough to join us in our trek home. It turned into a 15 hour ordeal as we took a wrong turn, but again the kids were troopers and we stopped only for dinner, gas, timeouts..;.. and directions back to where we should have been. Now we are home again. We enjoyed Dads visit. Isaiah started pre-school on Tuesday and is loving it. I was a bit timid about his first day, but his ease with all of it has made it very easy to deal with. Next on the to do list is scouts, book club, potty training, iggys school, Igs birthday, changes in clints work schedule, BYU football etc, etc. That should be enough to keep me busy until the holidays roll around and we can enjoy our family again. Sorry for the novel without Illustration, I will add those soon. Thanks to everyone for making it a wonderful trip!!!
