Trip to the West Desert

Well here I am again. Obviously Becki does not know how to type. Just a quick update on our weekend. On Friday and Saturday we went out to Topaz Mountain in the west desert. Everyone found some fine topaz crystals. We also went to a spot to collect Apache Tears (obsidian drops). There where millions of them and we all had fun. Becki with her great quickness captured a "Horny Toad". Everyone was very impressed.

We went with Brody and his family. And did I mention we where lucky to have Iggy with us. We all had a great time.

Brad, thanks for your post. I'm happy to know what is happening in Spanish Fork- at least with the Pace home. Might I add too that you are such a natural for a scout leader.

I would agree with all that Jeff said, Spanish Fork has never seemed so exciting to me, and I have gained a new appreciation of what it takes to be a good scout leader. Good job brad. Our family history will not be blank of the paces because of you.

Great pictures! Made me weep a bit. I remember it was an outing like this that I discovered I was afraid of heights. Ah, the rites of passage in Utah deserts. Keep blogging Brad.
